Project: Completed (almost!)

The project I have been periodically posting photos from is pretty much complete!  With only a few last things to get finished up, the clients have moved into the house.  I took a few hours last Friday to take some photos before the move-in, and here are a few shots–I’m slowly working my way through them and uploading in batches. Here are some of the photos…

View From the Top (almost)

We are working on a project on the 41st floor of the Transamerica Pyramid.  We were lucky enough to take an office field trip on Friday to see the office space in progress and admire the views.

Construction Update

Well, amidst my own personal allergy storm, I managed to make it out to the job site today and take some updated pictures. Everything is being stained, and the tile is starting to go in. Very exciting!

Construction Update

It’s been a couple weeks, but I have a construction update!  Things are progressing quite nicely.  Currently, the cabinets are being stained (for those who thought the previous pictures were the cabinet color, surprise!).  The floors have already been stained upstairs and are being protected while they stain the cabinets, doors and trim.  The exterior of the building is really shaping up, which has been exciting to see.  I’ll be posting more pictures as it progresses, but for now here are a few…

Construction Update

Yup, it’s that time again! Time for a construction update. These pictures are actually a couple weeks old, but here they are nonetheless. The project appears to have “regressed”–all the cabinet doors were removed so they can be stained. The exterior stucco is finished, floors are getting stained, the tile has arrived and will be going in soon. So exciting!

Weekly Construction Update

Yup, that time again.  More photos from the construction site!  It’s really been exciting to see things take shape slowly but surely.  This week’s big item was the installation of the angled guardrails between the first and second floors.

The trim and baseboards are also going in rapidly, which exciting. The kitchen is pretty much all installed, minus the appliances and countertops.

More photos from the job site today.  It’s really coming along quite nicely–between my morning site meeting and afternoon client meeting, the guardrail got installed!  Quite exciting to see it “magically” appear.

Fieldtrip

Last Friday I got to spend most of the day out of the office running errands for a job, which was super fun! I started out with an early morning jobsite meeting, then breakfast, then a trip to Oakland to Concreteworks, then back to the city for lunch and a quick office meeting–all with the same client.

The highlight of my day was definitely Concreteworks–I am absolutely obsessed with their work and daydream about the day when I can have some concrete in a house of my own. Anyway, here are some shots I snapped there (with their permission, of course). I didn’t go into the workshop this time, but perhaps next time I’ll take some shots out in the shop/yard…

A few more pictures from the construction site.  Hope no one is bored with the job site, but I’m enjoying sharing the updates so I will continue.
