Weekend by the Sea (part 1)

This weekend, Brandon and I went to Half Moon Bay to celebrate his birthday.  We’ve been talking about getting away for a while, and this seemed like the perfect opportunity.  On Saturday we picked up the rental car and were on our way–fast forward 25 minutes and we had arrived!  Although I knew Half Moon Bay was close, I felt a little sheepish to realize just how close it is and how infrequently I have gone.  It was great to stroll through downtown, and then just hang out by the coast and get some fresh air.  We felt so much further away from San Francisco than we actually were.

Our hotel was adorable and amazing–we stayed at the Seal Cove Inn, where we had a balcony, fireplace and jacuzzi tub in our room.  Talk about luxury!  The place was every bit as welcoming as it seems on the site–I was torn between wanting to get out to enjoy the outdoors and wanting to just hang around our room and enjoy the amenities.  Now for some photos from our weekend (warning: there will be a lot)…

Before we were able to check into our hotel, we took some time to wander around and see the sights
